Last season was a nightmare for the Vanderbilt Commodores. They went 2-10 overall and were the only team in the SEC not to win a game during conference play. Here, Vandy will look for a win that would provide some much-needed confidence going into the rest of their season with an exciting transfer leading their offense.
Diego Pavia was very good last season at New Mexico State, throwing for nearly 3,000 yards and racking up 26 passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 851 yards last season, as he is very good at improvising and extending plays with his legs. Vanderbilt needs a spark this year and it could be Pavia who brings it to them despite their other roster limitations.

This is a game that Virginia Tech should win without too many problems. But we are going to take the points with Vanderbilt in this matchup. Pavia is a delight to watch, as those who were willing to watch as much New Mexico State football as we were can confirm.
