The Army Black Knights were an independent in college football for a long time, before joining the American Athletic Conference ahead of the 2024 college football season. So far, that decision has paid off, as Army is 3-0 overall heading into this weekend and 2-0 in AAC play. The Black Knights are heavy favorites going into this Army vs Temple clash, but they will need to continue to play defense at an elite level if they want to avoid being upset by the Owls.

So far this season, Army has held its three opponents to an average of 9.3 points per game. While their strength of schedule hasn't been good at all, with wins over Lehigh of the FCS, Florida Atlantic, and Rice, that shouldn't be a concern for this particular game given how Temple has played this season. It would also mean a tired defense for Temple in the second half, which could cause things to get ugly in a hurry for the home team in this AAC matchup.
