Key Storylines
Recent Form
The BC Lions have moved to 5–5 entering Week 12. They have won two straight games after their Week 9 bye. Those wins came against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in overtime in Week 10 and the Montreal Alouettes by double-digits. BC is favored to get their third straight win here and a win would put them above the .500 mark and potentially move them into the top three in the West by the end of Week 12.
The Toronto Argonauts are slumping at 2–8 after dropping their last three games. Their most recent loss was a 28-20 loss to the Edmonton Elks. Backup quarterback Nick Arbuckle has shown flashes of brilliance this season. But he hasn’t been consistent and their defense has been consistently bad of late. The Argos have allowed 38 points per game over their last three games and they will look to be better on that side of the ball here.
Quarterback Play
BC’s Nathan Rourke has worked his way up the CFL passing charts. He is third in the league in passing yards coming into this week and has done a better job of limiting turnovers over the last few weeks. If he can continue to deliver on a consistent basis this week he could help his team get above the .500 mark in 2025.
Nick Arbuckle is second in the league in passing yards. He is one of just two quarterbacks in the league with over 3,000 passing yards this season. But he has thrown 10 interceptions on the year and he needs to be more careful with the football for his team to end its current losing streak.
Betting Trends & H2H
- BC is 5-5 both straight up and against the spread this season.
- Toronto is 2-8 straight up and 3-7 against the spread in 2025.
- BC has gone 6-4 to the over for the year.
- Toronto is 4-5-1 in the over/under market in 2025.

Final Thoughts
BC is playing better football than Toronto coming into this week. While I think that BC should win this game, I think we see some fight from the Argos in this matchup. I am going to take the points with the Argos as their offense should do enough to keep them in this game while BC should take the victory on the road late.
