- Both of these teams have lost four games in a row and are in a bad spot in the WNBA playoff race. But one of their four-game losing streaks will come to an end here.
- Dallas rookie Paige Bueckers is listed as a game-time decision. She did not play on Friday against the New York Liberty and her presence in this game would be huge for Dallas.
- Both teams traded away key players before the deadline. The Mystics traded Brittney Sykes to the Seattle Storm and the Wings moved DiJonai Carrington to the Minnesota Lynx. Both teams got worse at the deadline and it will be interesting to see how the current rosters respond to that.

Final Thoughts
The outcome of this game could very well come down to whether or not Paige Bueckers is able to take the floor for the Wings. I expect her to play in this game and for the Wings to win and cover the spread at home. But at this point, nothing would surprise me given that both teams appear to be trying to ensure that they are in the draft lottery.
