Key Storylines
Both of these teams are struggling coming into this game. Seattle has lost eight of its last 10 games and has dropped to eighth place in the standings. The Storm lost at home to the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday and struggled to get defensive stops late in that game. They will look to get back on track against a Chicago team that is one of the few playing worse basketball than Seattle right now.
Chicago is 1-9 in their last 10 games and they have the second-worst record in the league for the season. Chicago lost by 31 points at home against the Golden State Valkyries in their last game. The Sky have been without Angel Reese due to a back injury and that has derailed them. Chicago will need to find a way to perform better on both ends of the floor if they are going to end their four-game losing streak with a win here.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
Seattle leads the season series 1-0 after a convincing win in Chicago in July. Seattle won that game 95-57 and outscored the Sky in all four quarters. Chicago turned the ball over 20 times in that game and shot just 19% from three-point range. Those two areas will need to be cleaned up if the Sky want any shot at competing in this contest.
Best Player Props to Watch
Player | Prop | Analysis |
---|---|---|
Nneka Ogwumike | Over 16.5 points | Ogwumike should take full advantage of the absence of Angel Reese for Chicago in this matchup. |
Skylar Diggins | Over 5.5 assists | Diggins should have no problem distributing the ball against the depleted Sky. |

Final Thoughts
The Storm shouldn’t have much of a problem winning against the Sky on Tuesday night. But I do think that the Sky can keep the game within single digits to cover the spread. I will take the points with Chicago here in hopes that they can play respectable basketball for 40 minutes.
