I paid close attention to the differences while registering on BetMGM and contrasting their welcome offer with that of FanDuel Sportsbook. The welcome offer on BetMGM was $200 while on FanDuel was $150, the difference being $50 in bonus bets. I was even more surprised to notice that while FanDuel required me to win my initial bet to cash in on the welcome offer, no such requirement was needed at BetMGM. Additionally, BetMGM issues rewards on each bet I placed which can be redeemed for more bonus bets or stays at MGM properties throughout the US. FanDuel doesnt have a rewards program of that kind but atoned to a certain degree with free-to-play contests and odds boosts throughout the week. Overall, I felt that I got more from my money with BetMGM.
BetMGM vs DraftKings New User Promo
When I compared the welcome offers of BetMGM and DraftKings, I noticed that here too there were some minor differences. BetMGM offered me the higher $200 bonus in the form of bonus bets but asked me to place $10 to trigger it. DraftKings merely asked me to place a $5 initial bet, which is lower and beneficial to the majority of new players. BetMGM also offered its rewards program and daily odds boosts, which is beneficial to me as I place bets on a regular basis; however I was impressed that DraftKings offered a daily ‘no sweat’ bet and free-to-play pools and brackets, which are unique experiences that players will enjoy.
