The Edmonton Oilers face off against the Dallas Stars on May 23, 2024 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Oilers are underdogs at +110 and the Stars are favorites at -130. The game is set to begin at 8:30 pm ET, promising an exciting matchup between these two competitive teams. Going into Oilers vs Stars Game 1, the biggest factor could be the rest advantage that the Stars have working in their favor. Dallas has not had to take the ice in six days, while the Oilers had to grind out a Game 7 win over the Vancouver Canucks to advance to this stage back on Monday. Our best bet for this series opener is for the Stars to win at home as slight favorites. While this should be an evenly matched series throughout, the rest edge for the Stars in this game is too much to overlook against an Oilers team that just had to battle through a Game 7 in a rivalry series in the last round. Look for the Stars to come out with fresher legs and to take a 1-0 series lead going into Game 2.
