Key Storylines
The big storyline in this game is revenge. The Giants stunned the Eagles 34-17 in New Jersey two weeks ago. Now Philadelphia returns home aiming to avenge that blowout loss and bury an NFC East rival. The Giants will be hungry to bounce back from last week’s collapse against the Denver Broncos in which they blew an 18-point lead and lost 33-32. Both teams have plenty of motivation to perform beyond just wanting to win a football game or beat a division rival here.
The Giants’ youth movement has been something to watch over the last few weeks. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has helped turn the Giants into a team with a competent offense lately. And rookie running back Cam Skattebo scored three touchdowns the last time the Giants and Eagles faced off. But doing it on the road against Philly could be an entirely different challenge.
Quarterback Play
Jalen Hurts bounced back from his recent struggles with a terrific stat line last week. He went 19-of-23 passing for 326 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in a win over Minnesota. Philadelphia’s receivers also stepped up, with A.J. Brown (4 catches, 121 yards, 2 TD) and DeVonta Smith (9 catches, 183 yards, 1 TD) having big games. Philly will try to build on those performances to get even with the Giants here.
The Giants are relying on rookie Jaxson Dart. He had 283 passing yards, three touchdowns, and a rushing score in the Giants’ Week 6 win over Philly. He has shown poise beyond his years early in his pro career. But his lack of experience means growing pains as well. His late-game interception in the Denver loss was a reminder that he is still just a rookie and vulnerable to making rookie mistakes.

Final Thoughts
The Eagles should be able to get revenge on the Giants in this game on their home turf. But I think that we are going to see this game go over the total above everything else. Dart and the Giants have found some productivity on offense and they should put some points on the board, even if the Eagles do the majority of the scoring from The Linc.
