Los Angeles Rams vs Tennessee Titans Prediction – 9/14/2025
The Los Angeles Rams will hit the road for the first time this season when they face the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. The Titans took a loss in Cam Ward’s first game as a professional quarterback. They will look to get back to the .500 mark with a win at home over a Rams team that enters this week at 1-0. Here, I preview this inter-conference matchup in the NFL and bring you my Rams vs Titans prediction from Nashville.

Key Storylines
- Cam Ward makes his first home start after being named the starting quarterback of the Titans. Ward struggled against the Denver Broncos in Week 1 and will hope for more success in a less hostile environment.
- Tennessee had 133 total yards on offense against the Broncos to open their season. Ward had a hard time but the rest of the Titans’ offense also needs to step up in this contest and beyond.
- The Rams scored just 14 points but managed to win at home over the Houston Texans in Week 1. LA held Houston to just nine points and that was an encouraging defensive performance that Sean McVay’s team will look to build on.
- The Rams added Davante Adams to pair with Puka Nacua. Nacua benefited from that with 10 catches for 130 yards in Week 1.
Quarterback Play
Matthew Stafford’s arm talent is not gone yet. Despite preseason back issues, Stafford threw for 245 yards and completed nearly three-quarters of his pass attempts against Houston. Stafford has weapons to work with even after the departure of Cooper Kupp. This is his first road test of the season but his confidence will be high after an encouraging performance to open the year.
Cam Ward showed the ability to improvise against a stout Broncos defense. But Ward completed just 12 of his 28 pass attempts for 112 yards. Ward also lost a fumble against Denver. He will need time to adjust to the speed of the game in the pros and a more forgiving home environment could help him to make those adjustments.
Betting Trends & H2H
- The Titans did cover the spread as an underdog in Week 1 despite losing to the Broncos.
- The Rams covered the number at home to open their season against the Texans.
- Both teams saw their first games of the season stay under their respective totals.
Rams vs Titans Model Projection
Score Projection: Rams 24 – Titans 20
Win Probability: Rams 66%, Titans 34%
Final Thoughts
I wouldn’t rush to overreact to Cam Ward’s struggles in his first start of the season. The Titans were on the road against a Broncos defense that is going to be one of the best in the NFL again this year. I expect some positive regression for Ward at home in this game and for the Titans to do just enough to cover the spread, even though I expect the Rams to win the game.
