Johns has not won a fight via stoppage since 2021 and would love to break that streak here. But any win will do for a fighter in Johns who had won three fights in a row prior to his loss to Lima.

He is installed as the solid betting favorite in this fight despite losing for the first time in his professional career last time out. Matsumoto lost via split decision to Rob Font in February. As long as he can shake off his loss in his last fight and not allow that to get into his head here, I think that Matsumoto is a deserved favorite in this matchup.
In my opinion, Johns doesn’t have the kind of power necessary to throw Matsumoto off his rhythm here. I think we see another fight for each of these men get decided by the judges. I will go with Matsumoto to win this fight by decision and to get his career back on track.
