We could be in for an exciting fight as a part of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card, as Ion Cutelaba is set to take on Ibo Aslan in Seattle. Cutelaba is known for fights that end rather quickly, for better or worse. Meanwhile, Aslan has yet to lose since debuting in UFC. But only one will come away with a win in this fight, which headlines the prelim portion of the card.

This fight will take place at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Ion Cutelaba Seeks Second Straight Win
Ion Cutelaba enters Saturday night having won his most recent fight. He got that win via split decision over Ivan Erslan in September. Still, Cutelaba has dropped four of his last six fights and is struggling going into this matchup against Aslan. The question going into this fight is whether or not Cutelaba can get another win and whether his streak of fights going the distance will continue here.
Cutelaba is known for having fights end early, with 10 of his last 14 fights being settled inside the distance. Still, he has had two straight fights go to the judges, winning one of those decisions and losing the other. Cutelaba’s defending will be of vital importance here, as he faces a fighter who has ended his first two UFC fights by knockout.

Ibo Aslan Looks For 3-0 Start In UFC
Things have gone well for Ibo Aslan since making his debut in UFC in March of 2024. The Turkish fighter is 2-0 in the promotion, beating Anton Turkalj and Rafael Cerqueira by knockout in his first two UFC fights. Here, Aslan will look for a third straight win since joining UFC, one in which he could certainly pick up a third straight knockout.
Aslan has already made it clear that he is not interested in the antics of Cutelaba going into this fight. But focusing on what Cutelaba will do in their pre-fight confrontations could get in the way of Aslan doing what he needs to do in the octagon. It will be interesting to see how things play out on Friday and how that impacts things on Saturday.
