Amanda Ribas enters this fight the favorite. She is well-rounded as a fighter and does a nice job of mixing up offense between striking and grappling. Ribas lost her most recent bout to Mackenzie Dern via third-round armbar on January 11. That was her second straight loss after she also suffered a defeat to Rose Namajunas in March of 2024. Ribas is looking for her first win in nearly two years with a victory in this fight.
Tabatha Ricci arrives on the back of a unanimous decision loss to Yan Xiaonan back in November. She posts 4.18 significant strikes landed per minute and she completes 1.86 takedowns per 15 minutes. Ricci has been known for grinding out decisions as a member of the UFC roster. If she can do so again in this fight she should move deeper into the top-10 of the UFC strawweight division. She will need to avoid being controlled on the mat for that to happen.

This fight could go either way as far as I’m concerned. As a result, I think there is some value on the underdog in this matchup and I will be backing Ricci at her current price to get the win.
This fight will come down to which fighter can control their opponent on the ground the most effectively. I see that aspect of the fight being a coin flip. As a result, give me the underdog in a fight that is almost sure to go to a decision when 15 minutes is up.
