Alibi Idiris enters UFC 319 with a perfect 10-0 professional record. He has earned five wins by knockout, one win via submission, and four wins via decision. All of those fights came in Kazakhstan’s Naiza FC and Ural FC circuits. His last two wins in Naiza FC came via knockouts in 2023 and 2024. He will look to make an immediate statement that he can win in exciting fashion in his UFC debut and not just smaller MMA promotions.
Joseph Morales returns to the octagon after climbing back from a brief 1-2 stint in UFC from 2017 to 2018. He has had solid runs in Cage Warriors and A1 Combat since then and has captured flyweight titles along the way. Morales boasts a 12-2 pro record with six submissions, two knockouts, and four decisions. Morales has not fought in professional MMA since 2023 and has spent over 2.5 years away from the cage in a competitive setting.

Idiris has looked great in his MMA career so far but I wouldn’t overlook that he has looked great in a relatively obscure promotion. But Morales’ long time out of competition is also something to worry about as he could be rusty in his first fight since February of 2023.
I think we end up with a pretty underwhelming fight here. I expect Idiris to get the win in the end. But I don’t expect him to look as good as he looked during his time in Naiza FC. I’ll go with Idiris to win this matchup via decision to open his UFC career with a victory.
