- San Francisco Giants: The Giants had a three-game winning streak snapped with their loss to the Nationals last time out.

Final Thoughts
Neither starting pitcher has lived up to expectations this season. Gore has been especially disappointing given that he is the younger of the two. But Verlander isn’t exactly the most reliable either. I’ll take the Giants thanks to their huge bullpen ERA advantage. The Giants are fighting desperately to stay in the NL Wild Card race and I think they will get a win to help them with that here.
