- Starting Pitchers: Ryan Weathers vs McCade Brown

Key Storylines
- All joking aside, the Marlins are playing well of late. They are seven games back of the final NL Wild Card spot and are unlikely to catch up to make the playoffs. But they are playing winning baseball of late and can hold their heads high no matter what.
- The Rockies will go to 70 games below .500 if they lose tonight. They are 41-110 and have been the worst team in the recent history of baseball according to many.
- Colorado swept a three-game set in Miami in early June. Miami arrived with payback on the mind at altitude and won the first game of this series 6-5.
Pitching matchup
- Ryan Weathers is on the mound for the Marlins tonight. He is 2-1 with a 2.73 ERA for the season. He is making his second start since returning from a three-month injury absence. He threw five shutout innings against the Washington Nationals in his first start back on Thursday.
- McCade Brown has had a hard time in limited action this year. He is 0-4 with a 9.88 ERA. But three of his four losses have come against the Cubs and Padres. He will look to take advantage of some lesser competition here.
Recent team streaks
- Miami: 4-1 over its last 5 games.
- Colorado: 1-4 over its last 5.

Final Thoughts
I don’t think that McCade Brown is going to be quite as bad in this game as he’s been in recent starts against elite competition. But I do think that he will continue to struggle in this game to some degree. I’ll take the Marlins on the moneyline in this matchup.
