Pitching Form: The Tigers will go with Chris Paddack on the mound to start this game. Paddack was acquired from the Minnesota Twins and is making his first start with the Tigers. He has had an ERA of 6.00 or higher in both June and July and will hope that a change of scenery does him good. Paddack will go up against Arizona’s Ryne Nelson. Nelson is 6-2 with a 3.29 ERA. He has not lost a start since June 7.

Final Thoughts
I’m just not sure that Chris Paddack is the answer that the Tigers needed in the trade market. Paddack has been struggling mightily going into his first start with his new team. And while Detroit’s lineup is dangerous, I think that we see a solid showing from Ryne Nelson today. I will take the Diamondbacks as a slight underdog, even if we don’t see Suarez due to his injured hand.
