So far this season, UTSA has taken care of business at home and has struggled on the road in 2024. They are 2-0 at home, with wins over Kennesaw State and FCS Houston Christian. But they have lost three road games to Texas, Texas State, and East Carolina in their conference opener. Here, UTSA is favored on the road, but will have to find a way to be more productive offensively to win on the road for the first time this year. Can Rice Break Three-Game Losing Streak?

Rice is 1-4 overall this season and 0-2 in the AAC. They have not beaten an FBS opponent yet this year, as their lone win of the season came against Texas Southern of the FCS. Two weeks ago, Rice lost 21-20 at home to Charlotte to drop them to 0-2 in conference play. But that was the closest game of the year for Rice against an FBS opponent. The Owls will look to build on that game and take advantage of the fact that they are coming off of their bye week to get a win here against UTSA.

While Rice did show some signs of life in their last outing against Charlotte, we are not convinced that will continue in this UTSA vs Rice matchup.
