Can Kennesaw State Get Second FBS Win?
The Kennesaw State Owls have one win so far this season, going 1-7 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA play. The Owls delivered the shock of the CUSA season so far when they beat Liberty a couple of games ago. Here, they will look to build on that by beating another struggling team in their conference. For that to happen, the offense of the Owls will need to play like it did against Liberty and not the way it played in the games before and after, when they scored a combined 19 points in two games.
UTEP Hopes to Get Offense Going At Home
Another team with a struggling offense is the UTEP Miners, who are 1-8 overall and 1-5 in Conference USA. The Miners have scored just 11.5 points per game over their last two games, which were losses to Middle Tennessee and Louisiana Tech. Unless the Miners can put more points on the board in this game, they could suffer a rather embarrassing home loss to a team in its first season of FBS football, dropping to 1-9 for the season in the process.
Kennesaw State vs UTEP Best Bet
We are going to take the points with Kennesaw State in Saturday’s Kennesaw State vs UTEP contest. Neither of these teams are good football teams by any stretch of the imagination. But there is a little more offensive upside for the Owls going into this game, though, and getting over a field goal in this battle of struggling teams is appealing. We will go with the Owls to cover the number, as they could very well win this game outright.
