Can Georgia State Exceed Expectations?

Georgia State finished last season with a 7-6 record despite going 3-5 in Sun Belt Conference competition. This week, the Yellow Jackets go from being big underdogs to heavy favorites, as the Yellow Jackets shoot for a second win in as many weeks to start their 2024 season.

Georgia Tech's running game was electric against Florida State and should have a big day again here against Georgia State. The Yellow Jackets rushed for 190 yards against the Seminoles in Dublin, while Florida State failed to reach 100 rushing yards in that contest. A similar advantage is to be expected in this contest, as Georgia Tech should be able to create separation with their ground game.

Georgia Tech should be able to win this game convincingly on Saturday. But laying three touchdowns with a team coming off of an upset win, who could let down this week, is not something we are prepared to do. Instead, we will take the under in this contest, as the Georgia Tech rushing attack should slow this game down and keep the scoring low even if the Yellow Jackets win handily in the end.
