The Eastern Michigan Eagles and Buffalo Bulls will square off as part of Saturday’s college football slate. Both of these MAC teams are under the .500 mark for the season. But one of them has to get a win here and Buffalo is a double-digit favorite to do that. Here, I take a closer look at this MAC matchup and bring you my Eastern Michigan vs Buffalo prediction.

Key Storylines
- Eastern Michigan’s Struggles: The Eagles have had a challenging season, with a 1-4 record and an 0-1 mark in MAC play. Their offense has averaged 24.0 points per game, while their defense has allowed 36.6 points per game, ranking them among the worst in the nation. They even lost against FCS Long Island University and will try to prove they are more than we’ve seen from them thus far.
- Buffalo’s Recent Performance: The Bulls have a 2-3 record and are coming off a 20-17 loss to UConn. Despite the loss, their defense has shown promise, ranking first in the MAC with 16 sacks on the season.
- Quarterback Play: Eastern Michigan’s senior quarterback Noah Kim has thrown for 1,168 yards this season with five touchdowns and three interceptions. Buffalo’s first-time starting quarterback Gunnar Gray stepped in for the injured Ta’Quan Roberson in last week’s loss to UConn. If it is Gray again, he will try to build on that experience gained in this contest, or the Bulls will go back to Roberson if he’s healthy enough to go.
Betting Trends & H2H

Final Thoughts
I think that we will see the Buffalo Bulls bounce back from their recent struggles in this contest. The Bulls passed their first test of the year in conference play a few weeks ago and should get a second MAC win in a row here. Eastern Michigan has yet to win a road game yet this year and I don’t anticipate this being the game where they do that. I’ll lay the points with Buffalo in this edition of MACtion on Saturday afternoon.
