- Coastal Carolina’s Offensive Struggles: The Chanticleers have faced significant challenges on offense. They are averaging just 6.7 points per game and 158 passing yards per game, ranking 133rd in the FBS. Their recent 38-0 loss to East Carolina was their worst offensive performance yet and the Chants will try to get back on track offensively here.

South Alabama’s Bishop Davenport has been much more dangerous, with a 73.4% completion rate and a 175.7 passer rating. The quarterback situation on both sides is a big reason that South Alabama’s offense has been the better of the two.
