Premier League Golden Boot Futures 2026/27: Haaland Leads, Isak Is the Price to Watch

Updated October 6, 2026

Erling Haaland is the player to beat in the 2026/27 Premier League Golden Boot race. He leads the scoring chart with five goals and trades at 60¢ on Polymarket. Alexander Isak, one goal behind him, has the more interesting price at 13¢. There is no ATS trade today: Liverpool are assessing Isak after a minor injury on international duty, so I want a fitness update before turning that price into a pick.
Player | Goals | Buy Yes price |
|---|---|---|
Erling Haaland | 5 | 60¢ |
Alexander Isak | 4 | 13¢ |
João Pedro | 3 | 12¢ |
Cole Palmer | 2 | 3.7¢ |
Igor Thiago | 1 | 1.7¢ |
Polymarket Buy Yes prices checked October 6, 2026. A winning Yes share pays $1, subject to the market's resolution rules. The buy price, spread and any fees affect the return. Prices will move.
Five league matches have been played. Haaland has five goals from 4.43 expected goals (xG), 20 shots and 10 shots on target. Isak has four goals from 3.54 xG, 15 shots and seven on target.
The current scoring order matches the quality and volume of their chances; neither man's tally is built solely on a finishing streak. The big regression candidate here is Igor Thiago, who has scored just once from 2.76 xG for high-flying Brentford.
Market | Buy Yes | Conditional ATS chance | Potential edge | Entry rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Isak Yes | 13¢ | 17% if fully fit | +4 percentage points if cleared | No trade until fit; then 13¢ maximum |
Expert verdict: Wait for Liverpool's fitness update. If Isak is cleared to start and his Golden Boot Yes price remains 13¢ or lower, he becomes a small speculative buy. Pass at 14¢ or higher unless new evidence improves his outlook. The 17% estimate and four-point edge apply only to a fully fit Isak playing regular league minutes.
Isak is only one goal behind Haaland, and his four goals have come from 3.54 xG in 415 league minutes. His seven shots on target show a regular supply of chances, while Cody Gakpo has assisted three of his goals. The role matters more than a five-game hot streak: Isak has been Liverpool's main finisher, with teammates consistently finding him in high-value positions.
The entry price is a key factor. At 13¢, the conditional estimate leaves four points of room before fees and estimation error. A long absence or reduced minutes would erase that case quickly. If he returns fit and the contract subsequently jumps to 20¢ on a short scoring run, I would reassess and consider taking some profit rather than treating the original 17% estimate as fixed.
Haaland deserves to be favorite. He won last season's Golden Boot with 27 league goals, his third in four campaigns, and has scored five in five this term.
His 4.43 xG and 20 shots lead this group, and he has played every league minute so far. Another campaign with that chance volume would make him extremely difficult to catch.
The questions remaining are around the price, his workload, and what kind of punishment the Premier League deem appropriate for the 114 charges they found City guilty of.
Haaland asked to come off while playing for Norway, and his international manager discussed the strain of his recent minutes.
That is a reason to seek an update, not to assume a long absence. At a 60¢ Buy Yes price, my assessment is still close to the market. Haaland can be the likeliest winner and remain a pass at 60¢.
Meanwhile, City have appealed against the Premier League's guilty ruling. Should they fail, expulsion from the league is not an option that is entirely off the table. In this extreme scenario, Haaland would not be able to win yet another Golden Boot.
João Pedro has three goals in four league appearances, with 2.16 xG from 11 shots. His three assists underline how involved he is in Chelsea's attack, but they also show that his role includes creating for others. A player can have an excellent season without taking enough of his team's shots to beat Haaland.
At a 12¢ Buy Yes price, João Pedro is worth monitoring, but he also withdrew from international duty with an injury. I would need confirmation of his return and clearer evidence that he will remain Chelsea's central finishing option before considering a trade at a price so close to Isak's.
Igor Thiago, 1.7¢: He has one goal from 3.13 xG and 13 shots. The gap points to missed chances, not a lack of opportunities. Still, catching Haaland over the remaining season requires more than a return to normal finishing, so I am watching rather than buying.
Cole Palmer, 3.7¢: Palmer is capable of a major scoring run, but Chelsea also have João Pedro and other attackers competing for chances. The contract is a long shot until his shot share and fitness make a sustained Golden Boot challenge more credible.
The Premier League finally returns from the international break on October 10, with Liverpool hosting Manchester City on October 11, potentially giving Haaland and Isak their first chance to improve thei tally on the season.
Afterward, watch their league minutes, penalty duties and rotation around European fixtures. Revisit the ATS estimate when those inputs change.
Erling Haaland is the favorite. He leads the league with five goals after five matches and was priced at 60¢ on Polymarket at time of writing.
Haaland has five goals, one ahead of Isak. João Pedro is among the players on three goals.
The Premier League shares the Golden Boot award between joint top scorers. A prediction-market contract has its own resolution rules, so check how the specific market treats a tie before trading.
