The Horseshoe is on the banks of Lake Michigan. The venue is about fifteen miles southeast of the Chicago Loop. It is accessible from Illinois Exit 107 or Indiana Exit 0 on I-90.

The Horseshoe Hammond Casino was formed in 1996 as the Empress Casino. The property was acquired by the Horseshoe Gaming Holding Corporation in 2001 and was rebranded to its current name. Harrah’s Entertainment acquired the Horseshoe in 2004. Harrah’s was rebranded as Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Caesars sold the property to Vici Properties in 2017, but Caesars continues to hold its operating license.

What the Horseshoe Sportsbook Features

The Horseshoe Hammond Casino has a sportsbook from Caesars Sports. The Book is a 5,300-square-foot sportsbook and racebook with a video wall featuring sixteen flat-screen televisions. You’ll find plenty of seating areas around the sportsbook, including recliners.

You will find various betting kiosks at the Book, or you can use one of the teller stations during operating hours. You can check the latest betting lines at one of the monitors on display under the video wall.

The sportsbook also features various printouts that will help you see what odds are available for today’s events and future games. You can use these printouts to strategize your bets or to see what futures wagers are available.

The Book is open at 11 a.m. each day and closes at midnight on Fridays to Sundays and 11 p.m. every other day.
