Brian Thomas Jr. projections and prop bets for Jacksonville Jaguars at Las Vegas Raiders on Dec 22, 2024
Receiving Yards Prop Bet Odds:
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be rolling with backup QB Mac Jones in this week's game, which typically means fewer pass attempts and more rushes.
The model projects the Jacksonville Jaguars offense to be the 6th-fastest paced team in football (adjusted for context) at the moment, averaging 26.59 seconds per play.
This game will be played in a dome—which means zero wind, higher pass volume, higher TD potential, and increased passing effectiveness.
The Jacksonville O-line ranks as the 7th-best in the NFL this year in pass protection, which has a positive impact on all pass attack statistics across the board.
When it comes to linebackers in defending receivers, Las Vegas's LB corps has been atrocious this year, ranking as the 2nd-worst in the NFL.
Opposing quarterbacks teams have been disinclined to test the pass defense of the Las Vegas Raiders, averaging the 8th-fewest attempts in the NFL (a lowly 32.6 per game) this year.
This year, the strong Las Vegas Raiders defense has given up a puny 134.0 adjusted receiving yards per game to opposing wideouts: the 8th-fewest in the league.
This year, the imposing Raiders defense has surrendered the 6th-least adjusted yards-per-target in the NFL to opposing wide receivers: a mere 7.7 yards.
Brian Thomas Jr. is projected to have 84.1 Receiving Yards in this weeks game.
