The Vegas Golden Knights head to Long Island to take on the New York Islanders on Tuesday night. Vegas arrives on Long Island on a four-game winning streak, while the Islanders hope home ice and solid recent form can help them to end the Knights' hot streak. Before this contest begins from New York, continue reading to get my Golden Knights vs Islanders prediction.
Vegas is coming in on a hot streak. The Golden Knights have won their last four games, including a shutout win over the New Jersey Devils, showing they can score and defend at a high level. Their recent offensive consistency gives them a clear edge in confidence and execution entering this road game.
New York had a three-game winning streak snapped in their last outing. They dropped a 4–1 game to the Florida Panthers, with injuries to key forwards limiting their offensive output. On the plus side, their goaltending has been a bright spot.
Goaltending could be a deciding factor. The Islanders’ netminder, Ilya Sorokin, has been sharp. He has earned praise for a solid 2.47 GAA and a .912 save percentage. The Isles will need him to step up in order to slow down the red-hot Knights. Vegas doesn’t have glaring goaltending concerns at this point, as Akira Schmid has been solid in the place of Adin Hill.
On the Vegas side, Jack Eichel remains their go-to playmaker and clutch performer. He is capable of breaking tight games open with assists or timely goals, entering this game with a team-high 36 points. His presence gives Vegas a dependable offensive guide.
The Islanders lack a clear difference-maker right now. Injuries to forwards have reduced scoring depth, and while veterans like Bo Horvat or Anders Lee may contribute, there isn’t the same level of dynamic threat to match Vegas’ offensive weapons.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Jack Eichel | 1+ Assist |
Bo Horvat | 1+ Point |
Ilya Sorokin | 30+ Saves |
Score Projection: Vegas 4 – New York 2
Win Probability: Vegas 58%, Islanders 42%
Given their red‑hot form and more stable situation offensively, Vegas appears to be the best choice to take this road game. I'll take Vegas to get the win here, as they have worked their way above the .500 mark on the road this season and should continue trending in the right direction against an Islanders team that hasn't been scoring reliably enough to back.
