The Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines will meet in a key Big Ten basketball matchup on Tuesday night in Ann Arbor. Michigan enters this contest as a dominant force in league play and ranked third in the country. Indiana has lost three games in a row and will try to pull off a massive upset to get back into the win column in this game. Pick: | Michigan -15.5 ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 3/5 |
Michigan (16-1, 6-1 Big Ten) rolls into this game with one of the most elite resumes in the country and a clear home-court advantage going into this game. The Wolverines are coming off a solid victory over Oregon, where they overcame a slow start to secure an 81-71 result. Senior guard Elliot Cadeau led the way with 17 points for the Wolverines. Michigan’s balance offensively and discipline defensively have contributed to their strong performance in league play and Michigan is expected to roll again against the Hoosiers.
Indiana (12-6, 3-4 Big Ten) has hit a rough patch, dropping three straight conference games, including a lopsided 74-57 loss to Iowa. The Hoosiers have struggled to find consistent scoring beyond their top options, and recent losses have exposed issues with turnovers and offensive stagnation. Indiana is 1-3 on the road this season and has not found success away from home against tough competition. Thankfully, Indiana fans can take solace in the fact that they are now a football school after their Hoosiers played in the CFP title game on the gridiron the night before this contest.
Score Projection: Michigan 88 – Indiana 71 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Michigan 78%, Indiana 22% ATS PRO
Michigan should continue to roll in Big Ten play by winning and covering the spread as a double-digit favorite here. The Wolverines are averaging 93.1 poitns per game and shooting an impressive 52% from the field on the year. I don't see the Hoosiers doing enough to slow Michigan down in this contest, as the Wolverines should win this game by close to 20 points and hand the Hoosiers a fourth loss in a row.
