How many times have you struggled to find a coin in your pocket or your purse in order to scratch off a ticket? How many times have you found those small, grey ink shavings all over your table or on the carpet?
Back in 2014, the Michigan Lottery fixed those problems by expanding its offering of games to include a lot of different options from the comforts of home. You can play online games in digital form to have fun, win money, and support a great cause.
The Michigan Lottery goes to fund education programs all across The Wolverine State, from the Upper Peninsula to the Motor City and everything in between. Scratching off those tickets doesn’t have to be a thing of the past if you don’t want it to be, but a lot of those same games are available through the website and the Michigan Lottery app.
In 2018, online lottery players won $676 million playing these virtual games and digital instant tickets. Shouldn’t you consider getting your own piece of the cash?
Digital Scratch Tickets, Virtual Instant Lottery Games, Digital Draw-based Games, Match-Style Games, eInstants, and Online Scratch Offs are some of the descriptions used to label the more than 90 games that were posted on the website at time of writing. There is a wide variety of games and a wide range of different themes of games, including Wheel of Fortune, sports themes like Slapshot! and Fast Buck Basketball, and destination themes like Amazon Adventures, Caribbean Cashword, and Egyptian Oasis.
Denominations start as low as five cents and as high as $20 depending on the type of game. Some other games max at $10 denominations. Demo modes are available for all of the games, so you can try them before you actually put some skin in the game and start playing for real money. You can also play the online games on the website or on the Michigan Lottery Mobile App for fun or for real money.
It is also important to point out that the legal age for playing the Michigan Lottery is 18 and up for the online games, much like it is to go into a convenience store and buy scratchers or participate in any of the multi-state lottery games like Powerball or Mega Millions.
With all of the games, either in the Demo Mode or the Real Money Mode, you will be able to see the odds of winning and the paytables in the rules section, just like you would see with scratch-off lottery tickets. You can set your bet amounts and play within your means with ease by having the opportunity to select the denomination and also select the amount of money that you want to start with.
The Michigan Online Lottery actually began in the fall of 2014, but was rather limited at that point in time. Registered users could play Instant Keno and electronic scratch-offs. A big overhaul in January 2016 brought Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 to the online website and app and also led to an expansion of the instant games that were available to play.
Here at ATS, we want to make sure that you are informed. We’ll take a look at some of the most popular search terms that bring people to ATS with regards to the Michigan Lottery.
Sign up is really easy for the Michigan Online Lottery. It is important to point out that you must be a resident of Michigan in order to play the online games. If you want to buy physical lottery tickets and numbers for jackpot drawings, you can cross state lines, but that is not the case with the Michigan Online Lottery or the Michigan Lottery App. Furthermore, geolocation tracking will make sure that you are within the state borders to access your real money account.
The big green button that says “Register” will guide you through the sign-up process. You’ll start with an email address and the creation of a password. You can also enter a iLottery Promo Code and we suggest that you put ATS into that box. Even before you deposit, you’ll get to play 20 FREE GAMES. When you deposit, you’ll get a 50% Match Bonus plus five more free games. You’ll get bonus spins and some additional bonus chances as well.
After you fill the Promo Code box with ATS and hit Next, you’ll be able to enter all of your pertinent personal information. Once you do that and confirm your account, you are good to go.
How to play the Michigan Lottery Online is really simple. Your game options are plentiful and you can find a lot of micro denominations starting at 10 cents and going all the way up to $20. Game options include Digital Scratch Tickets, Digital Lottery Tickets, Virtual Instant Lottery Games, Digital Draw-based Games, Match-Style Games, eInstants, Digital Instant Tickets, and Online Scratch Offs.
You can also participate in the multi-state jackpot drawings Mega Millions and Powerball. Furthermore, the Michigan Lotto 47 and Fantasy 5 can be played online.
For those jackpot drawings, you’ll pick your numbers or let the computer pick them as you always would and then the wager amount will be deducted from your account.
As far as the instant games, all of them are a little bit different, but all of them also provide a Demo Mode so that you can give them a try. Each time you press Play, a randomized game is entered into the system and you will either win or you will lose, just like you would when you take a coin to a regular scratch-off ticket. The objectives are a little bit different in each of the games, but if you look at the Information tab, you can see the pay tables and the odds of winning, just like you would see on the back of a lottery ticket.
You can fund your Michigan Lottery account on the website or on the app with Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, or Discover. New games are offered every week and there are Daily Spin & Win contests to win free play or online bonus offers. It is also extremely easy to sign up. Even though you can go across state lines to buy instant tickets or be part of multi-state lotteries, you must be a resident of the state of Michigan to use the online website or the app.
