Key Storylines
Recent Form
Vegas (12-6-8) arrives after a 4–3 shootout victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, which was their second win in a row. The Knights have scored four goals in back-to-back games and will try to build on that in a tough place to play tonight. New Jersey (16-10-1) has struggled lately, dropping their last three games at home. They have now lost four of their last six games overall. Their defense has looked shaky and the Devils will try to stop the bleeding tonight.
Goaltending
The goaltending picture for Vegas remains in flux, but we could see Carter Hart in net for Vegas in this matchup. Hart has won his only game of the season so far. New Jersey’s Jake Allen has delivered some solid outings this season, but the team’s shaky defensive play lately could hurt their goalie in this matchup.
Key Skaters
For Vegas, their top trio will matter most. Jack Eichel (11 G, 21 A, 32 points) continues to drive their top line, while supporting forwards Ivan Barbashev and Tomas Hertl provide complementary scoring. On New Jersey’s side, Jesper Bratt remains their most dangerous offensive weapon with 5 goals and 21 assists so far. However, the absence of their star center Jack Hughes due to a finger injury continues to loom large, and his missing presence makes scoring from elsewhere critical.
Best Player Props
| Player | Prop |

Final Thoughts
The Devils have been struggling recently, but they are still 9-3-1 at home for the season. I’m going to take the Devils to win this contest on the moneyline, as they should get things back on track defensively against a Vegas team with a losing record on the road during the 2025-26 season.
