The Vegas Golden Knights head into Wednesday’s contest against the Los Angeles Kings riding a wave of momentum after an offensive outburst in their most recent game. The Kings have not been playing quite as well and will try to slow down the Knights to get back in the win column. Before this important Pacific Division matchup in the NHL, you will find my Golden Knights vs Kings prediction here.
Pick: | Golden Knights ML ATS PRO |
Confidence: | 4/5 |
Vegas enters this matchup on a high after a commanding 7‑2 road victory over the San Jose Sharks in which they displayed offensive firepower in bunches. Tomas Hertl led the charge with a career‑high five‑point performance while Jack Eichel continued to be a key contributor for the Knights. Vegas holds the lead in the Pacific Division standings heading into Thursday's action. Recent form suggests Vegas is clicking at both ends of the ice, as they have won four games in a row and will try to move two points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers with a win here.
The Kings have dealt with significant personnel issues of late. Captain Anze Kopitar was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week with a lower‑body injury, weakening their leadership and execution on the ice. Although veteran Corey Perry is back in the fold after a brief absence due to a family matter, Kopitar’s absence could limit Los Angeles’ ability to control play at even strength and generate sustained scoring opportunities. The Kings have lost three of their last four games and have slid to fifth place in a very competitive Pacific Division.
Score Projection: Vegas Golden Knights 4 – Los Angeles Kings 3 ATS PRO
Win Probability: Vegas Golden Knights 56%, Los Angeles Kings 44% ATS PRO
I'm going to take the Vegas Golden Knights to win on the moneyline against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night. The Knights are playing some fantastic offensive hockey of late and should do too much scoring for a banged-up Kings team to keep up with. Expect the visitors to get the win here as slight favorites in a game that is hopefully as exciting as the 11-goal thriller we saw between these teams the first time they met this year.
