Jets vs Canadiens Player Props: Caufield's Edge Against Winnipeg

Updated November 3, 2026

Updated November 3, 2026

The Montreal Canadiens are finding ways to win, while the Winnipeg Jets are struggling to keep the puck out of their net. That makes Tuesday's matchup at the Bell Centre particularly interesting for NHL player props on Kalshi.
Montreal enters November 3 riding a five-game winning streak. Winnipeg, meanwhile, has gone nine games without a victory and is coming off a 7–0 defeat against Carolina. The Canadiens are favorites, but we're more interested in the individual player markets.
Our preferred position is Cole Caufield to score at least one goal, with Kalshi offering YES at 44¢.
Caufield is Montreal's most dangerous finisher, and Winnipeg's defensive struggles make this a favorable matchup. The Canadiens winger has eight goals through 14 games, with 44 shots on target.
At 44¢, the contract offers a modest potential advantage over our estimated probability. It's not an overwhelming opportunity, particularly after fees, but it's the most appealing of the markets we've reviewed.

1+ Goal · YES
Caufield's scoring consistency meets a Winnipeg defense struggling to keep opponents off the scoresheet. At the current observed price, there's a modest opportunity worth considering.

Caufield scored 51 goals in 81 games last season, establishing himself as one of the NHL's most reliable finishers. He's carried that production into 2026–27, averaging more than three shots per game and leading Montreal with eight goals.
His recent form is encouraging, too. Caufield has scored six times over his last 10 appearances, including two goals against Dallas on October 29. He remains a primary shooting option whenever Montreal establishes offensive-zone possession.
The matchup adds another layer.
Winnipeg has allowed 3.7 goals per game over its last 10 contests. The Jets have struggled defensively throughout their nine-game winless stretch, conceding five or more goals in three of their last four games.
Josh Morrissey's absence hasn't helped. The defenseman has been sidelined since October 7, leaving Winnipeg without one of its most important players in transition and defensive situations.
There is one complication for Montreal: Nick Suzuki's availability.
The Canadiens captain participated in Monday's practice alongside Caufield and Juraj Slafkovský after missing time with an upper-body injury. His return would strengthen Montreal's top line, although his participation against Winnipeg has not been confirmed.
Even without Suzuki, Caufield has continued finding scoring opportunities. That's encouraging, but it doesn't eliminate the uncertainty surrounding his linemates.
At 44¢, the price is reasonable. Above that level, we'd be less interested.
The Canadiens have won eight of their last 10 games, allowing just 2.3 goals per contest during that stretch. Their offense has also been productive, averaging 3.2 goals.
Winnipeg's recent numbers are considerably worse. The Jets have managed only 2.1 goals per game over their last 10 while allowing 3.7.
Those numbers help explain why Kalshi currently favors Montreal to win.
There is some reason for caution, however. These teams met in the Heritage Classic on October 25, with Montreal earning a narrow 2–1 victory. Winnipeg generated opportunities in that game and kept the Canadiens from creating much offensively.
A similar defensive performance would make Caufield's goal contract difficult to justify.
Still, Winnipeg has conceded 18 goals in its four games since that outdoor meeting. Montreal's offensive form and the Jets' defensive decline make another low-scoring encounter less convincing as the primary expectation.
For our purposes, the Canadiens don't need to dominate. We need Caufield to convert one of his opportunities.
Kalshi Price: 57¢
Hutson was our original favorite before reviewing the actual Kalshi prices.
The Montreal defenseman has 10 assists and 13 points through 14 games. He's averaging nearly 25 minutes per appearance and continues to play an important role in the Canadiens' offensive buildup.
There is plenty to like about his involvement, particularly against a Winnipeg team that has struggled defensively.
The problem is the price.
At 57¢, Kalshi is asking for a fairly substantial commitment to a single-assist outcome. Its displayed market probability is approximately 54%, and we don't see enough evidence to justify paying above that level.
Our preference would be an entry closer to 50¢. Hutson remains an excellent player to monitor, but Caufield's goal contract offers a more interesting price.
Kalshi Price: 30¢
Perfetti represents a different kind of opportunity.
He's produced 11 points through 15 games, including five assists, and remains an important part of Winnipeg's offense. His role provides opportunities to contribute even when the Jets are struggling to generate goals.
The difficulty is Winnipeg's recent production.
The Jets have averaged just 2.1 goals over their last 10 games, and Montreal has been considerably more effective defensively. That limits the appeal of taking positions on Winnipeg's secondary offensive contributors.
At 30¢, Perfetti is worth monitoring, but the available price doesn't provide a clear enough advantage to make him our headline selection.
Kalshi Price: 46¢
Slafkovský has seven assists through 14 games, making his assists market worth considering.
Playing alongside Caufield gives him opportunities to contribute directly to Montreal's scoring. His ability to create space and move the puck into dangerous areas makes the 1+ Assist contract interesting.
However, Kalshi's 46¢ price is slightly above its displayed probability of 43%.
That's not a particularly attractive starting point. We'd prefer a lower entry before recommending Slafkovský ahead of Caufield.
