The Dallas Stars (20‑5‑5) head to Winnipeg on Tuesday to take on the Winnipeg Jets (14‑13‑1) in a Central Division showdown. The Stars are enjoying a strong run of form and remain one of the top teams in the league, while the Jets are trying to find consistency at home. Before these division rivals do battle in the NHL, continue reading to find my Stars vs Jets prediction below.
Dallas enters this game on a strong run. Over their last 10 games, they are 8‑0‑2 and they have won three games in a row. Their offense has been humming, averaging 3.4 goals per game on the season. On the other side, Winnipeg has been inconsistent. Over their last 10 games, they are 3-6-1 and they have fallen out of the top five in the Central Division as a result of their recent struggles.
Winnipeg is expected to be without their usual starter Connor Hellebuyck between the pipes, which raises questions about their ability to withstand the Stars’ attack. The Jets have given up five goals in two of their last four games. Dallas has benefited from the stability of Jake Oettinger in net. His presence should give them confidence on the road heading into hostile territory.
For Dallas, Mikko Rantanen is a driving force offensively. He’s been producing consistently with multiple points over recent games, and he leads the Stars in assists with 26. Jason Robertson leads the Stars with 18 goals for the year. On the Jets side, Kyle Connor remains their offensive catalyst with a team-high 15 goals for the year. The question is whether Winnipeg’s supporting cast and defense can give him enough help to overcome the Stars’ balanced attack.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Mikko Rantanen | Over 0.5 Points |
Jason Robertson | Over 0.5 Goals |
Kyle Connor | Over 0.5 Points |
Score Projection: Dallas Stars 4 – Winnipeg Jets 2
Win Probability: Dallas 58%, Winnipeg 42%
Dallas’ form and stability in net give them a clear edge in this one. Winnipeg may have the home ice advantage, but defensively they look vulnerable. Mikko Rantanen and Jason Robertson give Dallas a high floor offensively, and even if the Jets bring energy early at home, Dallas’ consistency should allow them to get the job done.
