Key Storylines
- San Antonio boasts one of the league’s top records and an efficient offense that ranks near the top of the NBA in points per game. They enter this game looking to rebound from a blowout loss to the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon.
- Philadelphia has shown plenty of scoring ability led by Tyrese Maxey, whose scoring and playmaking have kept the 76ers competitive. However, the Sixers have been streaky and are likely to lean heavily on Maxey to carry the load offensively with Joel Embiid out of action again.
- The big question going into this game will be how the Sixers match up against Victor Wembanyama, as Andre Drummond has the size but lacks the speed to keep up with him for the most part.
Key Players
Philadelphia 76ers
- Tyrese Maxey – Maxey has been phenomenal this season with approximately 29.1 points per game and over 6 assists per contest. His ability to create his own shot and distribute makes him the engine of Philadelphia’s offense.
- Andre Drummond – Drummond has been a presence on the boards, averaging about 8.8 rebounds, including strong offensive rebounding that gives the 76ers extra possessions.
San Antonio Spurs
- Victor Wembanyama – The Spurs’ star big man has been a complete player, averaging 23.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. His rim protection and scoring make him extremely difficult to slow down.
- Stephon Castle – Castle’s role as a facilitator is pivotal for San Antonio, as his ability to orchestrate the offense opens scoring chances for Wembanyama and others.
- De’Aaron Fox – Fox’s scoring and ball handling provide stability in the backcourt, contributing across points and assist categories to keep the offense flowing.

Final Thoughts
If Joel Embiid was healthy, this would be a very different game in my eyes, as his combination of physicality and athleticism would give Wemby some problems. But without that being the case, I'm going to take the Spurs to win and cover the spread on the road on Tuesday night in the NBA.
