The New York Knicks head into Game 4 with a chance to complete a sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers and move one step closer to the Eastern Conference Finals. New York has controlled this series with physical defense, strong rebounding, and another elite postseason run from Jalen Brunson. Philadelphia enters Sunday facing elimination after dropping the first three games, including a 108-94 defeat on Friday night. Joel Embiid returned in Game 3, but the Knicks still dictated the pace and forced the 76ers into another difficult offensive outing. Before Knicks vs 76ers Game 4, continue reading to get my thoughts on this game, including my prediction in the betting markets.

Key Storylines
The biggest storyline entering Game 4 is whether Philadelphia has enough offense left to extend the series. The Philadelphia 76ers have scored 94 points or fewer in two of the first three games and have struggled badly late in contests. Tyrese Maxey and Paul George have both cooled off in fourth quarters, while Embiid still does not look fully healthy after dealing with hip and ankle issues.
New York, meanwhile, has looked like the deeper and more complete roster. Even with OG Anunoby missing Game 3 because of a hamstring injury, the Knicks received major contributions from Landry Shamet and their bench unit. Brunson continues to control the floor, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart have dominated the glass.
Anunoby remains questionable entering Sunday. If he plays, New York gains another elite perimeter defender and reliable scorer. If he sits again, the Knicks still appear comfortable with their current rotation after winning Game 3 by double digits on the road.
Philadelphia also faces a difficult mental hurdle. No NBA team has ever erased a 3-0 series deficit. The pressure now sits squarely on the 76ers to avoid another disappointing postseason exit.
Key Players
Philadelphia 76ers
- Joel Embiid remains the center of Philadelphia’s offense even while dealing with injuries. He returned in Game 3, but his mobility looked limited at times. Embiid still changes the game defensively and can take over stretches offensively, though New York has forced him into difficult shots throughout the series.
- Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia during the first round and averaged 26.9 points and 6.6 assists during the regular season. The Knicks have pressured him with physical perimeter defense, and his scoring efficiency has dipped late in games.
- Paul George needs a major bounce-back effort. George started Game 3 aggressively before fading after halftime. Philadelphia cannot survive another uneven performance from one of its top scorers.
- Kelly Oubre Jr. delivered 22 points in Game 3 and has been one of the few consistent energy players for Philadelphia. His activity on defense and ability to attack the rim have kept the 76ers competitive for stretches.
New York Knicks
- Jalen Brunson has been the best player in this series. He scored 33 points with 9 assists in Game 3 and continues to exploit Philadelphia’s perimeter defense. Brunson is averaging more than 31 points per game in the series and has completely controlled late-game possessions.
- Karl-Anthony Towns has given the New York Knicks balance with scoring, rebounding, and floor spacing. His rebounding presence has helped the Knicks generate extra possessions throughout the series.
- Mikal Bridges has quietly become one of the most valuable players on the floor because of his perimeter defense and efficient scoring. He added 23 points in Game 3 while taking difficult defensive assignments.
- OG Anunoby remains a major injury storyline. Before suffering the hamstring strain, he averaged 21.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks during the postseason.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
- The Knicks lead the series 3-0 after wins by 11, 6, and 14 points.
- New York has covered the spread in two of the three games of this series.
Knicks vs 76ers Game 4 Model Projection
- Score Projection: Knicks 108 – 76ers 101
- Win Probability: Knicks 58%, 76ers 42%
The betting market expects a close game, but New York still holds several edges that are difficult to ignore. Brunson has been the most reliable scorer in the series, the Knicks continue to dominate the rebounding battle, and Philadelphia has struggled badly in crunch time. Even with Embiid back in the lineup, the 76ers failed to crack 100 points in Game 3.
Philadelphia should come out with urgency in front of its home crowd, though the offensive consistency simply has not been there. The Knicks have defended Maxey extremely well late in games, while Bridges and Hart continue to create turnovers and extra possessions. New York also looks fresher physically, which matters late in a playoff series. I’ll go with the Knicks to win this game, complete a sweep, and rest before the Eastern Conference Finals.
