Game 4 between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks is set for Saturday, with the series tilted in Atlanta’s favor and the pressure squarely on New York. After dropping back-to-back one-possession games, including a 109-108 loss in Game 3, the Knicks now face a road contest that could put them in a 3-1 deficit. Atlanta has seized control with its late-game execution, while New York has plenty to figure out in this contest. Before the action begins, continue reading to get my Knicks vs Hawks Game 4 prediction in the betting markets.
The Atlanta Hawks enter Game 4 with a 2-1 series lead after winning two straight games by razor-thin margins. Both contests were decided in the final seconds, highlighting the Hawks’ composure late in games. New York, on the other hand, has struggled to close games out despite strong stretches of play. Their Game 3 loss was especially concerning after falling behind early and relying on a late rally, which they squandered by being unable to get a stop in the final seconds.
Another storyline centers on the Knicks’ offensive structure. The heavy reliance on Jalen Brunson has become increasingly apparent, particularly against Atlanta’s aggressive perimeter defense. Fatigue and limited secondary playmaking options have slowed New York’s efficiency in crunch time. Meanwhile, Atlanta continues to benefit from balanced scoring and improved shot-making, including strong perimeter shooting that has kept their offense steady.

The data points to another close contest, but Atlanta holds subtle advantages that matter in playoff settings. Their ability to generate more balanced scoring, combined with efficient perimeter shooting, has helped them grind out tight games. The Knicks still have the higher ceiling offensively, yet their reliance on Brunson has created predictable possessions late in games. I'm taking the Hawks to win as a slight underdog at home and to head back to New York with a 3-1 series lead.
