Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction - 1/24/2026

Saturday’s NBA schedule stops in Minneapolis, where Stephen Curry and Golden State visit Anthony Edwards and Minnesota at Target Center. It’s the first leg of a two-game set in the Twin Cities, and both sides enter with less than stellar recent results. The Warriors have dropped 2 straight after a strong mid-January run, while the Timberwolves are trying to steady themselves after 4 consecutive losses. Here, I break down this contest in the NBA and you can find my Warriors vs Timberwolves prediction right here.
Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves -6.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 2/5
Score Projection: Warriors 112 – Timberwolves 120
Win Probability: Warriors 36%, Timberwolves 64%
Minnesota’s offensive arsenal at home, paired with their defensive size, creates a difficult environment for a Warriors roster that now asks Curry to shoulder even more of the offensive burden with Butler out. Gobert’s screening and rim gravity open clean shot windows for Edwards and secondary creators, while Minnesota’s wings can switch across multiple spots to chase Golden State’s off-ball movement. The Wolves also own a meaningful rebounding edge on paper, which should translate into extra possessions and free throws over 48 minutes.
Minnesota’s home form, size, and scoring offer the cleaner look in this spot, while Golden State’s reliance on Curry’s shot-making and a thin rotation on the road introduce more volatility. With Butler sidelined and Kuminga’s status uncertain, the Wolves’ edge on the glass and at the line should carry a ton of weight. My pick is Timberwolves to cover the spread on Saturday.
