Madison Square Garden will host a marquee matchup as the Denver Nuggets visit the New York Knicks in a clash that matters for seeding for both teams. Both of these playoff-caliber squads are on the second night of back-to-backs here, making things very interesting from a player availability standpoint. Here, I try to cut through all that noise and make my Nuggets vs Knicks prediction in the NBA.
Our Nuggets vs Knicks Pick
Pick: Knicks -6.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 2/5
Game Snapshot
- Matchup: Denver Nuggets @ New York Knicks
- Date & Time: Wednesday, February 4, 2026, 7:00 PM ET
- Venue: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
- Broadcast: ESPN
Key Storylines
- Nikola Jokic returned from a left knee bone bruise and has looked sharp in his time back, restoring Denver’s offense to some degree.
- Aaron Gordon is sidelined with a right hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in roughly 4-6 weeks, leaving Denver thin at forward.
- Jamal Murray has been listed as a game-time decision recently, but has continued to play heavy minutes and produce at an All-Star level.
- New York enters on a winning run, driven by top-tier half-court defense, second-chance creation, and Jalen Brunson’s elite late-game shot creation.
- The Knicks' size and activity on the offensive glass remain a differentiator, with Mitchell Robinson trending as a game-time decision and Karl-Anthony Towns supplying volume rebounding.
- Both of these teams played last night, with the Nuggets losing to the Detroit Pistons and the Knicks blowing out the Washington Wizards. Both teams have to travel to New York overnight for this game and it is possible that key players on both sides are rested here. Bettors should at least be careful of that possibility.

Final Thoughts
It's not easy to feel confident in any direction in this game without fully knowing who is and is not going to play for each team. Both sides are playing for the second straight night, which could mean rest for several key players, while the looming trade deadline could also mess with teams' rotations. I'm going to lay the points with the Knicks here, but bettors may want to wait until closer to tip to verify that is still a good idea.
