Key Storylines
- Charlotte has won two straight games and have worked their way into 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings. They will try to protect their place in the play-in tournament with another win here.
- The Pacers have endured one of the most difficult seasons in recent memory and are in last place in the Eastern Conference after dropping four games in a row.
- Multiple Indiana starters are questionable or out with injuries, and Charlotte’s depth has improved with its recent trade deadline additions.
Key Players
Charlotte Hornets
- LaMelo Ball: The primary facilitator for Charlotte, averaging around 19.3 points and 7.4 assists per game. He orchestrates the offense and is benefiting from not having to be the top scorer for this group.
- Brandon Miller: A major scoring option with significant usage. His ability to score efficiently keeps defenses honest and opens driving lanes for his teammates.
- Kon Knueppel: Contributes key secondary scoring with about 19.3 points per game and adds rebounding and playmaking that complement the starters. There is a real argument to be made that he deserves this season's Rookie of the Year award over fellow Duke product Cooper Flagg.
Indiana Pacers
- Pascal Siakam: The focal point of Indiana’s offense when available, averaging roughly 23.7 points and nearly seven rebounds. His presence on offense is crucial for Indiana to remain competitive, but he is questionable with a wrist injury.
- Andrew Nembhard: Leads the team in assists, providing creation for others and steady ball-handling, but Nembhard is also questionable to compete here.
- Micah Potter: Has recently emerged as a contributor with efficiency on offense, and his rebounding can help keep the Pacers competitive on the glass.

Final Thoughts
I'm going to lay the points with the Charlotte Hornets in this contest. While we don't know if Siakam is going to play in this game just yet, he isn't at 100% in any case. Charlotte is trending in the right direction and I'll go with them to win in lopsided fashion on Thursday night in Indy.
