Key Storylines
- Joel Embiid is questionable to compete in this game, but is expected to play. Nothing is ever a given when it comes to the health of Embiid, but he did play well in Philly's win over the Pacers last time out.
- Philadelphia is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, while Miami is in eighth place. This game could help decide who ends up in the play-in tournament and who makes the first round of the playoffs.
- Paul George is still suspended for the Sixers, which has made life a little tougher on them than usual.
Key Players
Philadelphia 76ers
- Tyrese Maxey: The 76ers’ leading scorer at around 29.1 points per game and also contributes with assists and overall offensive creation. His ability to get into the paint and create shots will be key to Philadelphia’s scoring.
- Andre Drummond: Brings toughness on the glass with roughly 8.7 rebounds per game. His presence inside gives Philadelphia second-chance opportunities and could limit Miami’s offensive rebounds.
Miami Heat
- Bam Adebayo: A consistent contributor for the Heat with about 18.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per contest. Adebayo’s two-way play and ability to facilitate offense from the post make him a central figure.
- Norman Powell: Averaging about 22.9 points, Powell’s scoring is crucial, especially in tight games where perimeter shooting and isolation scoring can swing things one way or the other.
- Andrew Wiggins: Provides spacing and secondary scoring with roughly 16.1 points per night, helping Miami stretch defenses.

Final Thoughts
This Eastern Conference showdown will be a tight game throughout, but I lean toward the 76ers due to their home-court and the fact that Embiid is expected to go in this one. Miami’s high scoring can keep it competitive, but Philadelphia’s ability to get clutch time buckets from multiple sources makes them my pick in a close finish.
