Nora Cornolle gets another home assignment Saturday at UFC Paris, but the matchup with Klaudia Syguła is expected to be a close one. Cornolle brings considerably more UFC experience and a dangerous Muay Thai game, while Syguła enters at age 27 after consecutive unanimous-decision victories. Polymarket currently makes Cornolle a slight favorite, but there isn't much to separate these combatants in the eyes of the markets.
The Polymarket prediction market has Cornolle at approximately 55¢ and Syguła at 46¢, making this close to a pick’em despite Cornolle being the market favorite. My projection gives Syguła a 52% chance of winning, producing a 6% edge over her listed price.
This is still a competitive fight. Cornolle has the more proven finishing threat and could punish Syguła if the Polish fighter becomes too willing to exchange at kickboxing range. Still, Syguła’s recent UFC performances suggest she can accumulate enough offense to take rounds without needing a finish. I would continue to back her up to 50¢, but the value becomes much thinner once the price reaches the low-50s.
Statistic | Nora Cornolle | Klaudia Syguła |
|---|---|---|
Age | 36 | 27 |
Height | 5'7" | 5'8" |
Reach | 67" | 69" |
Stance | Orthodox | Orthodox |
Record | 9-4 | 8-2 |
Cornolle enters UFC Paris trying to stop a 2-fight losing streak. Her last victory came against Hailey Cowan in April 2025, when she earned a second-round rear-naked choke. She then dropped a unanimous decision to Karol Rosa in August 2025 before losing her February 2026 rematch with Joselyne Edwards by second-round rear-naked choke.
The Rosa fight highlighted one of the key concerns for Cornolle in this matchup. Cornolle landed 27 significant strikes, but Rosa successfully mixed in takedowns and accumulated more than 11 minutes of control time. Cornolle is at her best when she has enough space to operate as a Muay Thai striker, where her kicks, knees, and body attacks can become increasingly effective. Her overall professional record includes 6 knockout victories and 2 submissions, so there is real finishing power there.
Cornolle’s UFC striking numbers are solid despite fairly modest volume. She lands 2.73 significant strikes per minute while absorbing 2.04, with 55% striking accuracy and 56% significant-strike defense. Those efficiency figures help explain why the market still respects her despite the recent losses.
Syguła lost her UFC debut to Melissa Mullins by second-round TKO in November 2024, but she has responded with unanimous-decision wins over Irina Alekseeva and Priscila Cachoeira. Her record now stands at 8-2.
She landed 101 significant strikes against Alekseeva and followed that with 151 against Cachoeira in February. Against Cachoeira, Syguła attempted 335 significant strikes across 3 rounds. That type of activity can become important in a close fight where judges may have to decide the outcome.
Sygula's 7.27 significant strikes landed per minute is extremely high, although it comes from only 3 UFC appearances and should be treated cautiously. She also absorbs 5.50 per minute, showing that her offense can leave openings. Cornolle is accurate enough to take advantage if Syguła becomes careless.
The biggest question is whether Syguła can maintain her output without giving Cornolle clean counters. Cornolle is the more dangerous single-strike finisher and has substantially more UFC cage time. Fighting in Paris should also create a favorable atmosphere for the Frenchwoman.
Even so, I prefer what Syguła offers at the current prediction market price. She has age, length, and recent activity on her side, and her last 2 UFC fights showed an ability to win extended striking exchanges over 3 rounds. Cornolle remains dangerous enough to keep the projection close, but a 46¢ price asks Syguła to win less than half the time. My model puts her at 52%.
