Cam Rowston and Andre Petroski will do battle in the prelims of Saturday's UFC Fight Night card in Australia. Rowston is making his UFC debut and doing so on home soil. He will look to get a win against an experienced American opponent in Petroski. Before this Saturday night fight from Perth, continue reading to get my Cam Rowston vs Andre Petroski prediction.
Cam Rowston | Andre Petroski | |
|---|---|---|
Age | 30 | 34 |
Height | 6'3" | 6'0" |
Reach | 78" | 73" |
Record | 12-3-0 | 13-5-0 |
Cam Rowston is from Australia and fighting on home soil in this matchup. Standing at 6'3" with a 75" reach, Rowston possesses significant physical advantages over Petroski. Rowston is making his UFC debut in this fight after getting a knockout win over Brandon Holmes in Dana White's Contender Series in August. The Aussie has five knockout wins and six submission wins out of his 12 career victories and he will look to get another stoppage win in his debut on the UFC stage.
Andre Petroski is known for his aggressive grappling and ground control. Petroski has a 13-5 record with four wins by knockout, four by submission, and five by decision. His striking defense and ability to control fights on the ground make him a tough opponent for a new UFC fighter. But he is coming off a loss in his last fight to Edmen Shahbazyan by unanimous decision in June 2025 and Rowston will try to hand him his second straight defeat here.
Rowston's key to victory will be to use his reach advantage to keep Petroski at a safe distance. If he can avoid being taken to the ground, Rowston has the tools to secure a knockout victory. Petroski will try to bring this fight to the mat. Whoever can impose their style on this fight will have a great chance to get a win on Saturday night.
Cam Rowston's striking and reach advantage should give him the edge in this matchup. If he can maintain distance and avoid Petroski's takedown attempts, Rowston has the tools to secure a knockout victory. Petroski's path to victory hinges on closing the distance and bringing the fight to the ground, where he can utilize his grappling. But I think that Rowston is going to avoid being taken down too often and win via knockout to the delight of the home crowd in Perth.
