Brewers vs Padres Game 4 Full Game Pricing

Updated October 7, 2026

Milwaukee enters Game 4 with a 2-1 NLDS lead, but this series has offered almost no breathing room to either side. San Diego extended its season with a 4-3 victory Tuesday, making all 3 games one-run decisions. Milwaukee still produced 11 hits in Game 3, and William Contreras was its best hitter, going 3-for-4 with a home run and a walk. The Brewers now face Walker Buehler, who is confirmed for San Diego, while Milwaukee had yet to officially name its Game 4 starter as of Wednesday morning. First pitch at Petco Park is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET.
Pricing Outlook
Polymarket has a Game 4 market for Contreras to finish over or under 1.5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs, with settlement based on the sum of those 3 categories in the official box score. The over for that market is priced at 48%, meaning a 48% implied probability of him racking up 2+ hits, runs, and RBI combined. Our recommendation is to buy the Over at that price.
Projection vs. Price
At 48¢, the position carries a 48% implied probability against my 52.5% projection, producing a 4.5% edge. A price of 51¢, for example, would decrease that edge to 1.5%. The overall Polymarket pricing for the game does lean slightly toward a quieter offensive game, with San Diego around a small favorite and the Under 7.5 priced above 50%. But a lower overall scoring expectation does not automatically make Contreras Over 1.5 a poor proposition. He can clear this number with 2 singles, a hit and a run, a hit and an RBI, or several other combinations.

Why Our Model Sees Value:

“Contreras has several independent ways to reach 2 combined hits, runs and RBIs, and his current production is stronger than a simple review of his regular-season results against San Diego.”
Tuesday provided a useful reminder of how quickly Contreras can accumulate statistics. His 3 hits, solo homer, and run scored produced 5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs. Milwaukee lost for the first time in this Padres vs Brewers NLDS series, but Contreras consistently reached base against a San Diego staff that had few easy innings.
Contreras supplied the go-ahead solo home run in Milwaukee's 3-2 Game 1 victory, giving him 3 combined hits, runs, and RBIs that night. He then went 0-for-4 in Game 2 before erupting in Game 3. That gives him an over in this market in 2 of the first 3 games of the series.
Buehler enters Game 4 with a 9-6 regular-season record, 4.63 ERA, and 131 strikeouts. Those are respectable numbers, but they do not describe a starter who should automatically suppress Milwaukee's best right-handed bats. MLB lists him as San Diego's confirmed starter while the Brewers' starter remained unannounced Wednesday morning.
Buehler pitched well against Milwaukee in August, allowing only 1 earned run across 6 innings, and Contreras' prior plate appearances against him have not produced overwhelming results. That history is part of the reason my probability stops at 52.5% rather than moving higher.
Contreras hit third in Game 3 after batting fourth in Game 2. Either position is favorable for this particular market because Jackson Chourio and Milwaukee's other top bats can create run-scoring opportunities before or after his plate appearances.
The attraction of hits + runs + RBIs is that one productive sequence can generate 2 units. A Contreras single followed by an extra-base hit behind him can produce a hit and a run. A single with a runner already in scoring position can produce a hit and an RBI. An extra-base hit can create an instant over.
The Padres survived Game 3 despite being without Mason Miller, who was on the paternity list, and Adrian Morejon, who was unavailable because of a shoulder issue. San Diego compensated by asking Michael King to record a 6-out save just 1 day after his Game 2 start.
Their availability Wednesday could change, so this is an area to watch closer to first pitch. Even if Miller returns, King carrying a heavier workload than usual could affect how San Diego handles the middle and late innings. Contreras should receive at least 4 plate appearances if the game remains competitive, and a fifth is realistic if Milwaukee can create enough baserunners.
