The Atlanta Braves roll into Oracle Park on Saturday night carrying one of the best records in baseball and a chip on their shoulder after a frustrating start to this series, while the San Francisco Giants are simply trying to find any sustained good form in a season that has gone sideways. Add in a pitcher-friendly park, a thin Giants lineup, and a deep Braves order that has produced all year, and this game 2 of the series sets up as one of the more interesting games to look at on the Saturday slate.
Our Braves vs Giants Prediction
- Pick: Atlanta Braves Moneyline (+113)
- Confidence: 3 out of 5
Braves vs Giants Model Projection
- Score Projection: Atlanta Braves 5 – San Francisco Giants 4
- Win Probability: Atlanta Braves 54%, San Francisco Giants 46%
Logan Webb’s season-long numbers (4-5, 3.35 ERA) are clearly stronger on paper than what Bryce Elder (5-5, 3.71 ERA) has shown lately, and the market has reacted accordingly by installing San Francisco as a home favorite. But our model leans the other way for a few reasons. Atlanta’s lineup still ranks among the better offensive groups in the National League. Webb is good, but he is not immune to contact, and Atlanta’s righty-heavy attack, led by Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley, and Michael Harris II, gives this lineup more than one path to runs even against a quality starter.
On the other side, Elder gets a Giants lineup that has been miscast as dangerous purely off raw average. San Francisco ranks in the bottom half of the league in runs scored despite a respectable team batting average, and with Luis Arraez banged up and Heliot Ramos still working back from injury, the order loses some of its table-setting ability.

Braves vs Giants Same Game Parlay
- Atlanta Braves Moneyline (+113)
- Matt Olson Over 1.5 Total Bases (+119)
- Game Total Over 8 Runs (+100)
Total Parlay Odds: +445 on DraftKings Sportsbook
Atlanta’s offense has produced in bunches this season, and Olson is enjoying one of his best stretches of the year and has been a consistent extra-base threat. With Elder’s recent volatility (he allowed eight earned runs in one of his last outings) and a Giants bullpen dealing with multiple injuries, the over feels well-supported even with two capable starters on the mound.
Braves vs Giants Home Run Prop
Pick: Casey Schmitt To Hit a Home Run (+544 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
Schmitt leads the Giants in home runs this season with 16 and has been one of the few consistent power sources in a thin San Francisco order. Bryce Elder has had real trouble keeping the ball in the park against right-handed hitters this year, with opponents slashing .304/.338/.452 against him from that side and five of his 10 home runs allowed coming from righties. Schmitt fits that profile, gets the platoon advantage, and offers plus value at home in a park that can still play fair for a hitter who gets the ball in the air.

- Atlanta is 25-17 on the road this season.
- San Francisco is 16-22 at home.
