DraftKings Pick6 is the DFS-site-turned-sportsbook's newest product. What is it? How does it work? Who's eligible to play? These are just a few of the many questions we'll be answering here today! Continue reading as we provide everything you need to know about the DraftKings Pick6 app and help you decide if it's worth checking out!
DraftKings Pick6 is a new, peer-to-peer DFS game that combines elements of sports betting (player props, parlays, etc.) with traditional daily fantasy contests. In fact, you can think of the DraftKings Pick6 app as a unique blend of the offerings on DraftKings Sportsbook and DraftKings Fantasy. Here's how it works:
Participants build a lineup with 2-6 players across different teams in the NFL, NBA, or NHL, and they must predict whether each player will finish with "More" or "Less" than their projected total for a given statistic.
For example, you might select LeBron James and predict whether or not he will score over 25 points in a basketball game. Or you might choose Patrick Mahomes and predict whether he will throw more or less than 300 passing yards in a football game.
At the end of the games, you'll win real cash prizes if enough of the predictions in your DraftKings Pick6 entry are correct!
It's important to understand that the DraftKings Pick6 app works a bit differently than the Pick'em contests offered on PrizePicks, Underdog Fantasy, and other similar platforms.
Instead of competing against the house with a fixed payout structure, you'll be battling it out with other players in a peer-to-peer format.
This means that the prize pool is determined by the total entry fees collected, and winnings are distributed among participants based on their performance relative to others in the contest.
So, the more accurate your player predictions are compared to your opponents', the higher your chances of winning a share of the prize pool.
It adds a competitive edge and strategic element to the game, as you'll need to not only make accurate player predictions but also consider the strategies of your opponents.
Do you have some questions about the entry fees and payouts on the DraftKings Pick6 app? Don't worry, we've got you covered! Here's a quick breakdown of how it all works:
If the gameplay format and payout structure still seem a bit confusing, don't worry! It all becomes a lot more clear once you download the app and start playing on your own.
DraftKings also provides an "Estimated Prizing" total before you submit your Pick6 lineup. This gives you a better idea of the potential payout you can expect based on the amount of your entry fee, the contest's prize structure, and the average win rate by other players.
