The New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders travel to take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats in America East college basketball action on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Both programs enter this contest with distinct narratives, as New Hampshire carries the home-court edge at Lundholm Gymnasium while NJIT looks to extend its recent run atop the America East standings. Here, I break down this contest and give you my NJIT vs New Hampshire prediction in college hoops.
Pick: New Hampshire -1.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: ★★★☆☆
New Hampshire enters this matchup with a record of 8-14. Despite some ups and downs, the Wildcats have shown stronger performances at home, where they score significantly more points compared to their road outputs. New Hampshire was recently beaten 80-57 by Vermont, a reminder of inconsistency on both ends of the floor but also indicative of their determination to rebound in front of the home crowd. Comeh Emuobor has been a key contributor for UNH, recording 12 points and six boards in that loss.
NJIT (13-12) comes in with a four-game winning streak, showcasing improved offensive balance and defensive effort. Sebastian Robinson leads NJIT with around 13.5 points per outing, and David Bolden contributes assists and secondary scoring, making this Highlanders squad tougher than their overall record suggests. NJIT has excelled in conference play of late, but road struggles following home wins remain a concern as they look to remain at the top of the America East standings after today's action.
The only previous matchup this season saw NJIT defeat New Hampshire 80-76 on January 8, with Bolden scoring 21 points in a close contest. Overall historical series data from past seasons shows some balance, though home teams have often prevailed, underscoring how crowd support matters in this pairing. Against the spread, NJIT has been strong, particularly in recent America East games, while New Hampshire’s ATS record has been just above the .500 mark for the season.
Score Projection: NJIT 71 – New Hampshire 74 ATS PRO
Win Probability: NJIT 42%, New Hampshire 58% ATS PRO
This America East battle promises to be tight, with both teams showing being competitive for the most part in recent outings. New Hampshire’s home performance and slight statistical edge make them the lean in this contest, especially with the line favoring them by around two points. NJIT’s recent success and their ability to hit key shots keep my projection close, but the Wildcats’ familiarity with playing at Lundholm Gymnasium and ability to respond after losses nudges my selection toward New Hampshire to cover and earn the victory.
