Key Storylines
- Arizona’s defense and glass work fueled a 37-point win over Oklahoma State this weekend, pushing the Wildcats to 23-0 behind interior scoring and a punishing rebounding edge.
- Kansas has won 5 straight entering Monday, stacking wins over BYU, Texas Tech on the road, and Utah, with Flory Bidunga and the Jayhawks leading the league in blocks per game.
- Arizona’s offense prioritizes two-pointers and free throws. In league play, the Wildcats are selective from deep and still efficient, making them a big test for KU’s length and shot denial.
- Bill Self’s group owns an extraordinary history on ESPN’s Monday night showcase at Allen Fieldhouse, adding extra weight to their home-court advantage in what should be a tight contest.
- Futures markets underline Arizona’s ceiling this season, including short prices to finish the regular season perfect and to win the national title. But this could be their toughest test on the season, on the road in a notoriously tough place for road teams to find ways to win basketball games.
Head-to-Head & Betting Trends
- Past meetings: The last game in Lawrence between these programs came on March 8, 2025, and went to Kansas 83-76. Five days later, Arizona answered in the Big 12 quarterfinals, 88-77. This is the first meeting between these teams this season.
- ATS and O/U records this season: Arizona is 14-8-1 ATS and 12-11 O/U. Kansas is 15-8 ATS and 7-16 O/U.
- Home road splits: Kansas is 10-1 at home this season and Arizona is 6-0 on the road entering this week.
- Situational note: Self is 39-0 on Big Monday at Allen Fieldhouse, with KU’s program mark on that stage at home listed at 89-1 all-time.

Final Thoughts
Arizona’s inside-first efficiency and rebounding give the Wildcats a slight edge even at Allen Fieldhouse, where Kansas’ Big Monday aura is real. The most sensible approach is Arizona -2.5, supported by top-tier efficiency margins and current form, while respecting a possible one-possession finish driven by late-game execution in the paint and at the free throw line.
