FoxBet Sportsbook Review & Ratings - 2026

A heavy hitter in the poker world is doing its best to become a heavy hitter in the sports betting world. BetStars, which has been a prominent player in the New Jersey online poker scene, is operating under the licensing of Resorts World Atlantic City to take bets on sports.

BetStars is now Fox Bet after a rebrand to the sportsbook owned by the major media empire.

Everybody that has placed a bet or made a wager knows PokerStars, which was once part of a thriving and booming online poker world. Even though Black Monday took a big chunk out of the steam that PokerStars had been building, the app is back and quite possibly better than ever now with a fully integrated sportsbook and online casino with its continued poker availability.

BetStars had a great head start in the post-PASPA world because of the success of PokerStars and now Fox Bet will carry that forward. It takes a complex interface to run so many tables and hands all at once. Putting up a sports betting catalog with a live betting system had to feel like child’s play by comparison. That is the most attractive element of the Fox Bet app. It runs as smoothly as any in the industry and its reliability is a major selling point in this growing space.

Seamless Sports Betting

A lot of sports bettors play poker. It is a match made in Heaven. The numerical study that often embodies the art of betting on sports is very much transferable to the poker side of the spectrum. Fox Bet knows that. That’s why you can have a poker bankroll, a casino bankroll, and a sports bankroll all in one.

Some of the “one-stop shop” apps out there force players to keep their specific bankrolls separate or charge rollover penalties for transferring funds from one part of the app to the other. Not Fox Bet. One bankroll for three different ways of betting. That is huge. It is something that few New Jersey sports betting apps can offer.

Even though you must be in the state of New Jersey to use Fox Bet, the state’s proximity to New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, and Virginia has to be really attractive to online poker players. If players are hanging out at friends’ houses or making a trip across the border to see some flops, why not bet some sports as well?

Convenience and Consistency

That’s all we want out of life. We want things to run smoothly. Fox Bet runs very smoothly and is among the best experiences for betting on sports. Even though Fox Bet can and has supplemented its reputation on the back of the PokerStars name, this app is also plenty capable of standing alone with its own name and validation.

It is so easy to navigate. All of the betting options are prominently displayed easy to utilize drop-down menus and some highlight games even get a little bit of extra promotion. As we all know, things can get bogged down on these apps or mobile websites. There are so many betting options on a daily basis, ranging from the major US markets like the NFL, college football, NBA, college basketball, MLB, and NHL, and also all of those popular European markets with soccer, golf, tennis, rugby, cricket, darts, and other international events.

At their cores, these apps are about convenience. The convenience of betting from home. The convenience of betting at a red light when you hear some breaking news on the radio. The convenience of betting at your daughter’s dance recital that you don’t really want to be attending. But, they also need to be structured and laid out in a convenient way. Fox Bet and its developers knew that and followed through.

Transactions and Transfers

So, you’ve entered your personal information and signed up. Now what? You have to send them money to get in the game. There are a lot of options for funding your account. There are fewer options for getting a withdrawal from your account, but there are still enough choices for it not to be a detriment.

Account holders can deposit using e-checks, Neteller, a PokerStars Play+ Card, the cage at Resorts AC, Skrill, Mastercard, PayNearMe, Visa, or PokerStars’s instant online banking. That sure is a lot of options!

In order to get a withdrawal, Fox Bet is up front about the process and says that it will take three business days to process any payout. E-checks, Neteller, a PokerStars Play+ card, the Resorts cage, and Skrill are the options for a withdrawal.

Bonuses and Promos

This is where it really gets fun at Fox Bet. Players get bonus bets and second-chance bets when they sign up.

One of the most attractive features for bonus hounds is the Odds Boost that is offered on a daily basis by Fox Bet on some of the most popular sporting events of the day. Adding a little bit of extra value to each winning ticket is going to go a long way in terms of being able to make a withdrawal, so these are great opportunities for the player. Parlay boosts are also sometimes offered to increase the payouts on those sports betting lottery tickets.

Additional promos include the “Event of the Day”, where players can win more bonus bets, and the Stars Loyalty Program.

This may be the best loyalty program in the online sports betting apps landscape. Anytime you place a bet, you get loyalty points. Those points can be converted into free play and cash bonus offers by filling up your virtual chest. The chests are like a treasure that you can unlock once you reach the requirements.

These chests go from Red, with a maximum of $50 free play, to Platinum, which is up to $1000 in free play. Comps are important to take advantage of and fortunately Fox Bet offers a lot of those.

Why Fox Bet?

You won’t find many sports betting apps in New Jersey that offer the convenience and ease of Fox Bet. You also won’t find many that have a background in poker that allow for one-stop shopping with the best poker app in the business and a thriving Live Casino. The fact that you can bet in all three areas with the same bankroll is a real strong attribute of the Fox Bet app.

The live betting interface for Fox Bet is also at the head of the class, so those from neighboring states attending a game in New Jersey or those that reside in the state will have everything that they could possibly need at their fingertips.
