Fanatics Markets is a strong option for sports-focused prediction trading with a familiar interface and useful FanCash integration. The platform is easy to use and offers practical trading tools but its market selection is still more limited than larger competitors. It is best suited to users already familiar with the ecosystem.

Fanatics Markets is one of the newest major entrants to the U.S. prediction-market industry, combining federally regulated event-contract trading with a user experience built heavily around sports.
Launched in December 2025, the platform now offers markets covering sports, politics, economics, crypto and culture. Its biggest differentiator is the wider Fanatics ecosystem: eligible trades can earn FanCash, and Fanatics Markets is now accessible alongside Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino through the company's new unified app.
For sports fans in particular, Fanatics Markets is one of the more approachable prediction-market platforms we have reviewed. It looks and feels much closer to a modern sports app than a traditional financial exchange.
There are trade-offs. Fanatics Markets is available in only 22 states, its non-sports market selection remains less extensive than the biggest prediction-market platforms, and trading and some deposit methods carry fees.
Fanatics Markets is available in 22 states and four U.S. territories. You must be 21+ and physically located in an eligible jurisdiction to trade.

Fanatics Markets is a U.S. prediction-market platform that allows customers to trade event contracts tied to real-world outcomes.
Instead of betting at fixed sportsbook odds, customers buy contracts generally priced between 1¢ and 99¢.
A contract trading at 60¢ can be interpreted as the market pricing that outcome at approximately a 60% probability. If the contract ultimately resolves in your favor, it generally settles at $1. If it does not, it settles at $0.
Fanatics currently offers markets across sports, politics, economics, culture and crypto, with sports clearly occupying the most prominent position in the platform's design. Its live site currently organizes sports markets across football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, fighting, motorsports, esports and other categories.
Fanatics Markets originally launched through a partnership with Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA), which supplies the event contracts available through the platform.
The company has subsequently invested much more heavily in the business.
Fanatics completed its acquisition of Water Street Labs, a CFTC-registered Designated Contract Market, and CX Clearinghouse, a registered Derivatives Clearing Organization, in August 2026. That gives Fanatics infrastructure it can eventually use to list and clear its own prediction markets rather than relying exclusively on outside partners.
However, Fanatics Markets' current consumer disclosures still state that contracts available on the platform are offered through Crypto.com Derivatives North America.
Fanatics could therefore eventually transition more of its prediction-market infrastructure to its own exchange and clearing operations.
Yes.
The important distinction is that Fanatics Markets is not simply Fanatics Sportsbook operating under another name.
Morton St. Trading Investments LLC, doing business as Fanatics Markets, is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and is a member of the National Futures Association. Current contracts are offered through Crypto.com Derivatives North America, a federally regulated exchange.
The CFTC's own FCM records also list Morton St. Trading Investments as a registered futures commission merchant.
This regulatory model is fundamentally different from the state-by-state licenses used by Fanatics Sportsbook.
It does not, however, mean sports prediction markets are free from legal uncertainty.
Sports event contracts are currently at the center of disputes over whether individual states can apply their gambling laws to federally regulated prediction markets. Fanatics itself warns customers that judicial decisions, regulatory actions or legislation could result in sports contracts being modified, suspended or removed in individual jurisdictions.
That same broader legal dispute is affecting competitors such as Kalshi.
Trading is relatively straightforward.
First, choose an available market. Fanatics presents the possible outcomes and the current contract prices.
Suppose a football team is trading at:
YES: 65¢
Buying one YES contract would cost approximately $0.65 plus the applicable trading fee.
If the team wins and the contract resolves YES:
Settlement value: $1.00
Your gross gain would therefore be approximately:
$1.00 - $0.65 = $0.35
before fees.
If the team loses, the contract settles at $0 and you lose the amount paid for the contract plus the applicable fee.
Fanatics allows a minimum order of one contract, meaning users do not need to fund a large account simply to understand how the platform works.
The basic process is:
You can either hold a successful contract until settlement or attempt to sell the position before the market resolves.
An early exit is not guaranteed. It depends on the market remaining open and sufficient liquidity being available at a price another participant is willing to accept.
Sports are where Fanatics Markets makes its strongest case.
Current categories include:
Contract types go considerably beyond championship futures.
Depending on the sport and event, Fanatics can offer game winners, tournament winners, conference or division outcomes, player-related markets and other event contracts. Its soccer product, for example, has included three-way match outcomes, totals and other familiar sports markets presented as individual event contracts.
This makes Fanatics particularly approachable for someone coming from a sportsbook.
The mechanics are different, but the underlying questions often look familiar.
Fanatics has also introduced FanViz, which adds real-time game visualizations, play-by-play information and statistics while users follow live markets.
This is one area where Fanatics' sports background gives it an obvious advantage over prediction platforms designed primarily around politics or financial events.
Fanatics Markets is not limited to sports.
The current platform also includes dedicated sections for:
That gives customers a reasonable selection of traditional prediction-market subjects including elections, economic announcements and entertainment events.
This is also where Fanatics has the most room to improve.
Our view is that Fanatics currently feels like a sports platform that has added prediction markets, while Kalshi and Polymarket feel more like prediction markets that happen to include sports.
For someone primarily interested in obscure political, technological, scientific or current-event markets, we'd still start with the broader prediction-market platforms.
For sports, the equation is much closer.
Fanatics Markets charges trading fees on matched contracts.
Current official disclosures list a Total Trading Fee ranging from $0.0034 to $0.0275 per contract, with the exact charge depending partly on the contract price.
Fees are generally higher around the middle of the pricing range and lower as contracts approach 1¢ or 99¢. The total fee is shown before an order is placed.
One important detail is that fees can apply when you buy and when you sell.
This means traders who enter and exit positions frequently need to consider the full round-trip trading cost rather than looking only at the initial purchase fee.
Fanatics also rounds the total fee for an order up to the nearest cent.
Funding method matters.
Fanatics' current disclosure says debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal and Venmo deposits may carry a fee of up to 2%, while ACH deposits are free.
For that reason, ACH is the payment method we'd favor for most users.
Fanatics does not charge a withdrawal fee for withdrawals to supported payment methods.
Wire transfers have much higher thresholds: wire deposits below $1,000 are unavailable, while wire withdrawals below $10,000 are unavailable.
There is no large mandatory account minimum for ordinary trading. Fanatics states that the minimum trade is simply one contract plus the applicable fee.
One meaningful improvement arrived on September 1, 2026.
Fanatics Markets now supports limit orders.
A market order prioritizes execution at the currently available price. A limit order instead allows the user to specify the maximum price they are willing to pay.
For example, if a contract is available at 44¢ but you only want to buy at 40¢, you can place a limit order at 40¢.
The order executes only if the market reaches 40¢ or a better price. Otherwise, it remains unfilled until cancelled.
This is an important addition because it makes Fanatics Markets feel more like an actual trading platform rather than simply a sports prediction interface.
Fanatics also offers Price Tolerance, allowing users to specify how much price movement they are willing to accept if the displayed price changes while a trade is being submitted.
FanCash is probably Fanatics Markets' biggest feature that competitors cannot easily replicate.
Eligible trading activity can earn FanCash and Fanatics ONE status.
FanCash sits within the wider Fanatics ecosystem and can potentially be used across other Fanatics products, including merchandise, tickets and collectibles.
That means a prediction-market customer is not participating in an isolated rewards program.
The same Fanatics relationship can extend across:
Prediction markets → sportsbook → casino → merchandise → collectibles → tickets
Exact FanCash earn rates vary by contract price and are subject to the current program terms, so we would not treat the maximum advertised percentage as a guaranteed return on every trade.
Still, the rewards structure is a meaningful point in Fanatics' favor.
Fanatics has now combined:
Fanatics Sportsbook + Fanatics Casino + Fanatics Markets
inside the new Fanatics Sports & Casino app.
Customers use one Fanatics account and the app automatically changes which products are available depending on their physical location.
This does not mean all three products share exactly the same account balance.
Fanatics states that Sportsbook and Casino share one cash balance, while Fanatics Markets maintains a separate cash balance. FanCash can cross between eligible parts of the wider ecosystem.
The integration is still a major positive.
Someone traveling between states no longer needs to think of Fanatics Markets as an unrelated app. The same Fanatics interface can show the products legally available in the user's current location.
As of September 3, 2026, the official Fanatics Markets availability page lists 22 states:
Fanatics Markets is also available in:
The state list is particularly interesting because it includes California, Texas and Florida.
California and Texas do not currently have statewide legal online sportsbooks, yet Fanatics Markets can offer federally regulated event contracts there under a different regulatory framework.
That makes the platform particularly relevant to users in states where Fanatics Sportsbook itself is unavailable.
Availability can change, however, especially while states and prediction-market operators continue to dispute the regulatory treatment of sports contracts.
Fanatics has built a relatively substantial set of responsible-trading controls into Markets.
Available tools include:
Timeouts can run from 3 to 365 days, while self-exclusion options include one year, five years or lifetime.
Fanatics has also partnered with Birches Health to provide specialized support for customers concerned about their trading behavior.
A useful part of the newer integrated Fanatics setup is that account-level responsible-use restrictions can carry across Fanatics products rather than existing entirely separately between Markets and the company's sportsbook/casino products.
Fanatics doesn't need to beat Kalshi or Polymarket at everything to be useful.
It has a different strength.
Category | Fanatics Markets | Kalshi | Polymarket |
|---|---|---|---|
Best suited to | Sports-first users | Dedicated prediction traders | Broad market discovery |
Sports experience | Excellent | Strong | Strong |
Non-sports breadth | Good | Excellent | Excellent |
Traditional USD funding | Yes | Yes | Varies by product/access |
Loyalty rewards | FanCash | Limited | Limited |
Limit orders | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Wider sports ecosystem | Excellent | No | No |
Beginner friendliness | Excellent | Good | Good |
The biggest reason to choose Fanatics Markets over Kalshi or Polymarket is therefore not that Fanatics necessarily offers more markets.
It doesn't.
The advantage is the combination of a sports-first interface, FanCash, live sports tools and the broader Fanatics ecosystem.
For someone primarily trading elections, macroeconomic data and unusual current events, Kalshi or Polymarket may offer more depth.
For an American sports fan who wants prediction markets to feel familiar from the first session, Fanatics may provide the easiest transition.
Fanatics Markets makes the most sense for:
Consider an alternative if:
For this Fanatics Markets review, ATS examined the live platform alongside Fanatics' current fee schedule, customer agreements, availability documentation, risk disclosures and product updates.
We also checked the regulatory structure against CFTC records and reviewed recent changes including the introduction of limit orders, FanCash integration, Fanatics' acquisition of its own exchange and clearing infrastructure, and the September 2026 launch of the unified Fanatics Sports & Casino app.
Because prediction markets are changing rapidly, we verify regulatory status, fees, state availability and major platform features when this review is updated.
For sports-focused prediction trading, yes.
Fanatics Markets has developed remarkably quickly since launching in December 2025.
Its initial product was relatively simple and depended heavily on Crypto.com's market infrastructure. Less than a year later, Fanatics has added FanCash, live sports visualization, price controls, limit orders, an integrated app and its own CFTC-regulated exchange and clearing assets.
The platform's biggest limitation remains breadth. Fanatics is not yet where we would go first for every obscure prediction-market category.
But that may not be what Fanatics is trying to build.
Its strongest proposition is much simpler: take prediction markets and make them feel native to American sports fans.
On that measure, Fanatics Markets is already one of the strongest platforms available.
Fanatics Markets is one of the strongest prediction-market options for sports fans. The platform combines straightforward event-contract trading with the polished sports experience Fanatics has already built around its sportsbook.
FanCash is a genuine differentiator, while newer features including limit orders and FanViz make the product more capable than it was at launch.
We would still put established prediction-first exchanges ahead of Fanatics for users primarily interested in very broad political, economic or niche event markets. But for sports trading — particularly in states such as California, Texas and Florida — Fanatics Markets has quickly become a serious alternative.
