Montreal and Boston write another chapter in their storied rivalry on Saturday night at TD Garden. Montreal has pushed its way into the Atlantic Division’s upper tier with quick-strike offense and an improved power play, while Boston has stabilized things after a midseason skid and continues to lean on elite special teams and home-ice advantage. Before the puck is dropped in this NHL matchup, keep reading to get my Canadiens vs Bruins prediction.
Over 6.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3/5
Score Projection: Montreal 3 – Boston 4
Win Probability: Montreal 47%, Boston 53%
Both teams bring enough finishing talent and special teams finishing to turn this into a scoring showcase. Boston’s home ice advantage and slight edge on the man advantage nudge my model toward the Bruins in a one-goal game, while Montreal’s top line and creative blue line should keep pressure on Swayman all night. With recent meetings trending high in goals and both creases showing cracks at times, the best angle is the total. My play is Over 6.5, with a lean to Boston on the moneyline if you want a side.
