The Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon in the NHL. The Senators come in with two wins in a row, while the Blackhawks are searching for answers amid a rough patch that has seen their top scorer sit out due to injury. Before this matchup from Canada, keep reading to get a full breakdown of the action, along with my Blackhawks vs Senators prediction.
The Blackhawks have dropped four games in a row and scored just a handful of goals without their leading offensive catalyst, Connor Bedard. Chicago has been outscored 14-5 during their recent losing streak and they will need to be better on both ends of the ice to compete here. The Senators have won two games in a row and three of their last four. Their most recent win was a 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins, where they shut down the explosive attack of the Pens.
Spencer Knight is expected to start in net for Chicago and he will try to stop the bleeding for his team. Knight and the rest of the goaltending group for the Blackhawks has been under siege lately, but Knight's overall numbers this year have been impressive. Ottawa’s Linus Ullmark has delivered a recent shutout and provides stability that could be decisive in this contest. Ullmark has a 2.89 GAA on the season, which is worse than that of Knight by a slim margin.
Player | Prop |

Tim Stutzle | Over 1.5 Points |
Score Projection: Chicago Blackhawks 2 – Ottawa Senators 4
Win Probability: Blackhawks 28%, Senators 72%
I'm going to lay the puckline with the Senators in this contest. Chicago has struggled mightily without Bedard to lead them and I think that will continue here against an Ottawa team that is trending in the right direction of late. Look for the Senators to win this game by at least two goals, with the potential for them to win by more than that.
