The New Orleans Saints will head to Nissan Stadium to take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon. Entering this game with 5 wins and 10 losses, the Saints have won three games in a row and will look for a fourth straight here. The Titans enter at 3-12, though they snapped a long losing streak with a convincing 26-9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in their most recent outing. Which team will get the victory in this matchup? Continue reading to get my Saints vs Titans prediction for Week 17 of the NFL season.

Both teams find themselves out of playoff contention with records that include 10 or more losses on both sides. A Saints victory not only extends their winning streak but would also throw another interesting wrinkle into the discussion about rookie quarterbacks in the NFL this season, as both quarterbacks in this game are in their first NFL seasons. New Orleans’ defense has shown improvement, forcing turnovers and limiting scoring opportunities, while the offense has found rhythm under Tyler Shough.
Tennessee has struggled to score consistently this season, ranking near the bottom of the league in passing. Their persistent offensive inefficiency remains a primary concern, especially after drafting a quarterback first overall in the most recent draft. The Titans are looking to build on their recent win over the Kansas City Chiefs, which knocked the defending AFC champions out of playoff contention.
Saints’ quarterback Tyler Shough has put together solid performances down the stretch, showing growth in decision-making and accuracy. He is doing a great job of creating opportunities for top target Chris Olave, who has consistently stretched defenses. Shough winning this game for his team would cast further doubt on the Titans' decision to draft Ward first overall.
Cam Ward has been one of many problems with the Titans’ offense this season. He has operated with limited weapons around him, but he has just 14 touchdown passes through Tennessee's first 15 games. He must rely on Tony Pollard on the ground and timely throws to Chig Okonkwo and Elic Ayomanor to keep drives alive.
Score Projection: Saints 24 – Titans 17
Win Probability: Saints 58%, Titans 42%
The New Orleans Saints are on a roll of late and I'm expecting that to continue here. Tyler Shough has helped the Saints to get on track through the air and I think he will win this battle of rookie quarterbacks against the disappointing Cam Ward. I'll lay the 2.5 points with New Orleans in Week 16.
